Marbella is a beautiful elongated village situated on the Costa del Sol, the southernmost coast of Spain. This coast is blessed with 300 days of sunshine per year. The Costa del Sol is divided into an East and a West section. The Western part is for tourism especially important. Because of its location at the foot of the Sierra Blanca is not too hot in summer and in the winter delicious mild.

The N340 coastal road connects the airport in Malaga with the rest of the coast.

The old Marbella is definitely worth a visit. During a walk through the narrow streets you will see various churches, the old town hall and the houses with colourful flowers. After the walk you can on the Plaza de los Naranjos eat something and drink.

The popular town Puerto Banus is ideal for a walk along the yachts moored there. Furthermore you will find here many terraces and shops to the cosy Harbour.

Beaches:
The Costa del Sol offers beautiful, well-maintained beaches. The average water temperature is 18 C (24 C in August).

Attractions:
There is a great variety of attractions ranging from two casinos, waterfun-parks, a Zoo, bullfighting and the amusement park Tivoli.

Sport:
Due the multitude of facilities and the wonderful climate all kinds of sports can be practiced. Of course, all water sports (swimming, sailing, Jet Ski) are possible. There are excellent facilities for practising tennis and golf.

Monuments:
The rich history of Andalusia with its many influences has produced many ruins and historically interesting places worth a visit.

Gastronomy:
There are few other places with so many restaurants of all categories. The typical dishes of the Costa del Sol are the fish dishes. Especially the "el pescaito frito" is very familiar.

Nature:
In addition to the beaches you will find inland a beautiful countryside with the famous white villages. The mountains offer a great variety of flora.

Night life:
After sunset you can find entertainment in one of the casinos, at a flamenco show or in a disco. Of course, you can also visit one of the many bars and terraces.
